My Struggles With Weight Gain

I have been skinny my whole life, it has been a struggle for me to gain weight.   After spending some time researching I discovered I am a hard gainer.  I have tried stuffing myself with all kinds of foods and snacks that you can think of but to no avail.

I have used protein shakes and other supplements and I would see minimal results, but not to the extent that I wanted.  I would spend long periods of time in the gym and wondered why other people were getting bigger while I was merely able to gain any size.  Fortunately by educating myself and talking to various professionals including a nutritionist I was able to pack on 23 pounds of muscle in a period of 4 months.

We all want to gain weight or lose weight for various reasons, my reasons were that I wanted to feel healthy, look healthy and feel confident in my own skin.  There’s nothing like going shopping and buying clothes that you want because they fit you well and not having to worry about wearing short sleeves because your forearms look like sticks.

How i gained Weight Fast

I started reading bodybuilding magazines and websites  about 8 years ago, I was a beginner, so like most beginners I thought that all I had to do was spend long hours in gym.  After years of not gaining any significant size I decided to do some research to get some insight in to weight lifting.  The one thing that was consistent in what I discovered is that if I wanted size, I had to eat more than the average person.

So I gradually ate more meals per day during the course of time.  Then I heard about supplements and tried a few but found the ones that worked for me.  With more meals and a protein shake or two each day, and training smart I was amazed at my results during the first month.

When I hit a plateau, which is common with weight lifting, I decided to change my workout so that my body would be exposed to something different.  It was an “Aha” moment, I started to notice more muscle definition and noticed how much stronger I was getting.
